Dr. Rita Lesczynski

Veterinarian

Dr. Lesczynski was born and raised on a dairy farm in Northern Wisconsin. Following high school, she attended the University of Wisconsin, Madison where she achieved her undergraduate. Dr. Lesczynski then received her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree at Iowa State University in 1975. She joined the Allgood Animal Hospital team in June of 1975. Some of her favorite activities include softball, racquetball and hiking. She is an active member of the American Veterinary Medical Association, Iowa Veterinary Medical Association, and American Animal Hospital Association. She now shares her home with multiple cats and wildlife.

My 19 year old cat has had all her care at another vet in town. When I took a new (stray) kitten that I took in to the other vet I found them not wearing masks. The front staff said it was too inconvenient when they had to use the phone. My 19 year old cat was having some difficulties and even though they had never seen her, Allgood’s worked her in on a very busy Saturday. Dr. Rita was very good with her understanding her age versus quality of life. My cat is doing better today. Not sure how much longer I will have her but all my animals will now go to this veterinary hospital.
